The Confederation of Indian Industry along with the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy is organizing the first "Biofuels India 2008: Emerging frontiers of Technology, Investment & Market prospects" - An international Summit on the Biofuels Sector on 22-23 August 2008, at Hotel Crown Plaza, Sector 29, NH-8 Gurgaon-122 005.

The Biofuels sector is poised for a rapid growth in India. The new Bio Fuel policy, which is going to be announced shortly, is believed to give the much-needed impetus for the growth of the sector.

This Summit is being organized to create a platform for all stakeholders from the international and domestic players to enable:

Developing strategic inputs for the policy-making process in India in creating the required enabling environment for bringing about a rapid growth in the sector.

Sharing of global perspectives on Technology, Investment and Marketing parameters as they are emerging, with special reference to global drivers for the Biofuels sectors and the critical success factors with special reference to both First and Second generation Biofuels.

Linking up between international and domestic players on Technology Exchanges and Investments.

The Summit will bring together senior representatives from Government, leading Biofuels Manufacturers & Service providers, Financial Institutions, Premier Academic & R&D institutions, Multi-lateral agencies and other professionals on Biofuels business.
